Optical Fibre Pigtails

Optical fibre pigtails are short fibre optic cables with a factory-installed connector on one end and an exposed fibre on the other. They are used to splice into fibre optic cables, providing a reliable and efficient way to terminate fibres within a network.

Use Case in a Fibre Optic Network

  • Commonly used in patch panels, splice trays, and optical distribution frames (ODFs) for structured cabling.

  • Ideal for fusion splicing, ensuring low insertion loss and high signal integrity.

  • Used in FTTH (Fibre-to-the-Home), data centers, and telecom infrastructure to create permanent, high-quality terminations.

Pigtail Options

  • Available in OM1, OM2, OM3, OM4, OM5 and OS2
